Professional background

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) and Registered Auditor in 2004. In 2005, I founded a business in the SMME space, which I successfully exited from in 2023.

I am particularly interested in investment opportunities within South Africa and neighbouring countries. I believe in the importance of face-to-face meetings, and I prefer investments that do not require burdensome travel.

My investment approach is to provide strategic support without being involved in the daily operations. I aim to participate actively in the business through bi-monthly or monthly meetings, or as needed. Investments which require a complete silent partner would therefore fall outside of my scope.

With my financial background, I would focus on enhancing the financial and administrative aspects of the business. This includes ensuring compliance, liaising with auditors, bankers, lawyers, and other advisors, and optimizing the business's tax position.

Over the past 20+ years, I have built a broad network across various business sectors, which I believe will be beneficial for any new venture I invest in.
